Mikado M-Ka LC is a range of high-performance carp fishing reels designed for demanding anglers who require strength, precision and reliable operation when fishing at long distances. Equipped with a Long Cast spool, worm shaft oscillation system and powerful gearing, these reels are well suited to both long-range casting and playing large carp. The graphite body and rotor with carbon-finish details give the reels a modern appearance while maintaining a robust construction. The M-Ka LC range is designed for carp anglers who value accurate line lay, generous spool capacity and a strong, dependable mechanism.
One of the key features of the Mikado M-Ka LC is its worm shaft oscillation system, which ensures even line distribution across the spool. Precise line lay helps the line leave the spool smoothly during casting, an important advantage when fishing at longer distances. The Long Cast spool features two metal line clips, allowing anglers to mark selected fishing distances. Another important feature is the Quick Drag system with carbon drag washers, providing precise adjustment and allowing the drag setting to be changed quickly when switching from waiting for a bite to playing a fish. The sealed drag mechanism offers additional protection against dirt and moisture, while its short adjustment range makes it easy to respond to powerful carp runs.
The Mikado M-Ka LC features a reinforced main shaft, heavy-duty gearing and 7 bearings in a 6+1 configuration. A sealed anti-reverse bearing, oversized bearing-supported line roller and thickened bail arm contribute to durability and smooth operation. The carefully balanced rotor helps maintain stability during retrieval, while the CNC-machined aluminium screw-in handle provides a secure connection to the drive mechanism and comfortable handling. The reel also comes with a spare graphite spool, allowing anglers to prepare an alternative line setup for different fishing conditions.
The range includes two models: Mikado M-Ka LC 5007 and 8007. The 5007 weighs 558 g, features a 4.8:1 gear ratio, a maximum drag force of 16 kg and retrieves 100 cm of line per handle turn. Its spool holds 410 m of 0.30 mm line or 250 m of 0.38 mm line. The larger 8007 weighs 685 g, offers a 4.3:1 gear ratio and a maximum drag force of 20 kg, while maintaining a line retrieve of 100 cm per handle turn. Its spool capacity is 610 m of 0.30 mm line or 340 m of 0.40 mm line. The 5007 is a practical choice for anglers who prefer a slightly lighter carp reel, while the 8007 provides greater line capacity and increased drag power, particularly useful for long-range fishing and placing rigs at considerable distances. Combining Long Cast spool design, powerful gearing and the Quick Drag system, the M-Ka LC range is built for demanding carp fishing sessions.
