PENN Fierce V is a series of spinning reels covering a wide range of sizes from 1000 to 8000. The smaller models suit general freshwater spinning, while the larger versions provide the line capacity and drag power required for heavier fishing and saltwater applications. The full metal body and sideplate help keep the gearing aligned under load and reduce flex during hard use. CNC Gear technology uses precision-machined gearing, while four sealed stainless steel ball bearings improve durability when the reel is regularly exposed to demanding conditions. The drag system uses HT-100 carbon fibre drag washers for smooth and consistent performance during the fight. Maximum drag increases with reel size, from 4.1 kg on the 1000 model up to 13.6 kg on the largest 8000 version. Gear ratios and line recovery also vary across the range, making it easier to match the reel to a specific technique and setup.
