Delalande Zand Shad is a slim soft lure developed primarily for slow zander fishing. Its elongated body and very thin tail section produce a subtle action that works particularly well when the lure is presented close to the bottom.
The flexible tail responds to the slightest rod movement and starts working even at very low retrieve speeds. This allows the Zand Shad to remain in the strike zone for longer, which can be especially effective when targeting cautious or inactive fish.
Its restrained action and realistic profile make it useful for more than just zander. The smaller model can also be effective for perch and bass, while the Zand Shad can be used in saltwater when targeting selective European seabass.
The range includes 8 and 11 cm / 3.1 and 4.3 in models. The unrigged lures weigh 3 and 6 g respectively, making it possible to match the lure size and rigging weight to the depth, current and activity level of the fish.
A broad selection of natural and contrasting colours helps match the lure to water clarity and fishing conditions. The more realistic patterns are particularly useful in clear water, where predators have more time to inspect the lure before striking.
