Price from 8.82 € View productsHandmade frog imitation lures for chub, trout, perch and pike
Wob-Art Żaba is a handcrafted, multi-jointed fishing lure from the Polish manufacturer Wob-Art, designed to imitate the appearance and movement of a real frog. Its distinctive construction features movable legs that reproduce the natural swimming and kicking action of a frog in the water. When retrieved with short rod-tip twitches, the legs move in a way that resembles a frog swimming in short bursts. During a slow, steady retrieve, the lure travels with its legs extended, creating noticeable water displacement and vibrations. This combination of realistic appearance and lifelike movement allows anglers to vary the presentation according to fishing conditions and predator activity.
Wob-Art Żaba fishing lures are available in 6.5 cm (2.56 in) and 9 cm (3.54 in) sizes. The smaller versions weigh either 5 g or 6 g, depending on the colour variant, while the larger models weigh 14 g. The range also includes lipless 9 cm versions. The smaller lures are suitable for targeting chub and trout, while the larger models are also intended for perch and pike fishing. The manufacturer recommends...

The smaller lures are suitable for targeting chub and trout, while the larger models are also intended for perch and pike fishing. The manufacturer recommends using these frog imitations primarily in still waters and slow-moving rivers. In rivers, they can be retrieved with the current or slowly against it, particularly close to the banks. In lakes and ponds, promising areas include the edges of emergent vegetation, openings between water lily leaves and areas above submerged weed beds. The lure is weighted slightly towards the rear, contributing to its distinctive movement during retrieval. According to the manufacturer, spring and autumn are particularly suitable seasons for fishing with Wob-Art Żaba.
Handcrafted construction and realistic detailing are among the defining characteristics of Wob-Art fishing lures. The manufacturer uses hydrophobic polyurethane foam and internal frames made from durable stainless steel wire. Each lure is individually hand-painted and protected with multiple layers of lacquer containing a UV filter. The Żaba range includes several colour patterns, from natural green and brown shades to more contrasting finishes inspired by different frog and toad colourations. Its carefully reproduced amphibian profile, articulated legs and versatile retrieval options make Wob-Art Żaba an interesting choice for spinning anglers looking for an alternative to traditional baitfish imitations. It is particularly worth considering when fishing around aquatic vegetation and in locations where frogs form part of the natural diet of predatory fish.
